Just a sidenote- GOOD news ( I think) Mommy or Daddy bird has returned a few times since posting my question an hour or so ago!
I would like to know if anyone thinks it would be a good idea to move the basket to a nearby location, keeping it looking the same, so that nothing can get to it, except mommy and/or daddy?
We have a spreader/fertilizer thing hanging high up on the wall next to the shelving that has a space on it that I could just tuck this basket into and it would be safe from prying cats or anything else. The adult wren is using it as a perch as it is right next to the top shelf where the basket with her nest is now. I would then move the whole shelving unit away so that there would be no way for anything to get near the nest. Good or bad idea????
