Hello,
I'm new to bird feeders but am enjoying them immensely. We had a beautiful bird show up that I can't identify and I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. This was a green, finch sized bird. Head, throat, and underside were almost an irridescent shade of lime green. The wings were brown with two bars. Actually, in my search, I've ran across pictures of Hutton's Vireo ( http://thebirdguide.com/digiscoping/photos/huttons_vireo.htm) and it looked a whole lot like it but they're not supposed to be anywhere around here... southern Indiana, on the border of Kentucky. Also, I'd say the green on ours was a lighter, livelier shade. Seen at our finch feeder - suburban setting near mature woods. I appreciate it.
