My husband and I live in Southeast Florida on a canal. Across the canal is a large tree with lots of different birds in it. (we call it the "Bird Condo". We spotted a beautiful bird and can't quite make a positive ID - it is a medium to large heron type with a black dagger bill, a grey body with black wings and black stripe from the neck to over the eyes. Eyes are reddish orange. There is a white plume? on the head. Legs are orange. We think it is a blue heron? or yellow crested night heron? It is so beautiful - Any help??? Thanks
