I live in Redondo Beach, CA. This morning a bird came very close to me - can't find it in any pictures. Blue and white feathers, rounded head, small beak, large eyes - looked at me! a good size larger than a blue bird, more size of blue jay but def. not a blue jay. Head was rounded and smooth. Lots more white on the body than I see in any picture. LONG tail and long blue wings on the sides, white on the main body. It hopped around alot on the ground - came near as I was rescuing an injured butterfly!
