I'm trying to identify a bird that has been frequenting my feeder.
He's the size and shape of a small jay or a large cardinal, but is not tufted.
He has a white belly and a grayish or possibly buff-colored wings and back with a white stripe about 1/2 inch thick about 1 - 2 inches from the wing tips.
I live on the Florida panhandle and they are quite common here, I think year round. Certainly in the fall/winter/spring and he's still around now.
My feeder accommodates clingers and perchers and I have basic songbird mix (black sunflower seed, nuts, some bits of fruit)
I haven't been able to get his picture yet.
