There were 2 full grown birds that 2 times have come to my yard. They have come in with starlings. Now I have also seen 3 small ones with the 2 adults The adults are the exact same size of mocking birds which we have many. These birds have bright yellow body and the head is yellow, slightly orange on top. Their wings are grey/black.It looks like a western tanger, but would that bird be in south Florida? I am familiar with birds, not an expert but I used to go birding and was a member of Audabon for a few years, a long time ago.
I have never seen birds like these and would really like to know what they are. I don't think they belong in South Florida.
