This little bird flew into our picture window this morning. It recuperated on the back porch and then flew off none the worse for the encounter. We have been unable to identify it in our field guide. Location: Raleigh, NC – Wooded. Size: 3.5 – 4.5 inches. Color: Back - Greenish-Tan / Stomach – Yellowish-Tan Solid colored with no pattern. Body: Wren shaped. Head: 4 black stripes – one across each eye with yellowish-tan in-between. Legs: Pinkish Tan Song: Short high-pitched chirps like our microwave timer going off. We have identified 41 different birds in our back yard and would like to add this one to the list. Thanks for your help.
