Thanks everyone for these suggestions! Although I'm not very experienced, I know a Cardinal when I see it - and this was not a Cardinal! But it did have black coloring around its beak. Could a Summer Tanager have this? From the pics I've seen, the bird I saw looked like a Summer but I wondered about that black coloring. Thanks again!
