My dad saw a small (bright) yellow bird near the Colwood racetrack by Victoria BC. Apparantly it was about 5 inches and almost compleatly yellow, he says the wings weren't yellow but he can't remember what colour they were. The area around there is mostly scrub and coniferous forest. He didn't see any other markings, and although his skill as a birder is ummm... nonexistant(sorry) nobody could miss the black cap on a male goldfinch so it most likely wasn't that. I'm thinking it was some sort of warbler?
