The pair where around but they didn't get to close to the nest itself. The picture below was taken by my nephew in the wake of the storm on the north shore of Lake Ontario. The Grebes were right in it's path.&amp;nbsp;&lt;img src="http://www.whatbird.com/forums/emoticons/emotion-6.gif" alt="Sad" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A 26 second clip of this storm can be seen at this youtube link. &lt;P&gt;I also remembered (for once) to check the distance between me and the Grebes. I am a pretty good judge of distance and I thought it was between 45 and 50 feet. When I checked the camera it indicated 47 feet.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It seems a little late, but these Red-necked Grebes were building up their nest today in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;No edit, no crop (blah, blah, blah).&lt;/P&gt;
