Most important, welcome to WhatBird.

Second, I think your bird is a Green Heron but there are other candidates like the American Bittern. I am not good at IDing so get more opinions.

Finally, you are in the general discussion section. There is a separate forum where the experts hang out called "help me identify a bird".
