No native Hawaiian birds in iBird Explorer West?!

Just bought iBird Explorer West thinking that it would fully cover Hawaii. No such luck! It seems that all the native Hawaiian birds I need help identifying are only found in Plus (and I assume Pro). I really wish the app developer made that clear. I would have kicked down the extra $10 on Plus if I had known. Instead I just wasted $10

Just got the iBird West update.

The update was not easy to get. It is a little bigger than the older version and would not fit on my phone. I've removed other items from my phone to make room for it.

Now I have one question:

How does favorites work?

This is my most desired update feature.

I go to a bird I want to mark as a favorite but do not see a button to 'add to favorites.' There must be a way.

Okay, got it, just needed to know how it worked. It's hidden without knowing how to make it appear.
