Hello everyone! My name is Andy and I live in Buffalo, NY. I do not currently have any birds however I have done my share in the raising of several types of birds while growing up. I have hand raised Love Birds, Cockatiels, Quaker parrots and Sun Conures. Unfortunately they were my mother's pride and joys so I left home without birds about 15yrs ago. I am about to embark on a new journey with the purchase of a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo! I am so excited that I can hardly handle myself. lol
I have been doing my homework and I was looking at the lists of non-toxic plants/trees so that I can plan ahead. I ran across a thread somewhere talking about someone planting Sea Grape bushes for her birds. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not they were considered safe? I am unable to find them on either the safe or non-safe lists. I did look up to find out that they are safe for human consumption and that wild birds are said to eat the "grapes" off of them.
