Whatbird.com

 I have seen this bird in my backyard a couple of times now.  He is a big one 18-24".   From the online database, it looks like a Rough-legged Hawk.   I live in SW Ohio, about 30 miles from downtown Cincinnati out a bit in the country.  

Did I identify the bird correctly?  If not, what are we looking at here..

This is a Red-shouldered Hawk.  Rough-leggeds are a fall / winter bird in the U.S., with some lingering into April, rarely into May.  They summer and breed in the Arctic.
