    I'll vote for that too.

Things are looking up, you were moaning about house sparrows a couple of days ago.

Yep you are right there Matt there was no birds around and now they are starting to come back I noticed a junco here yesterday. So hopefully I will be back in bussiness again. Although mind you I had my head else where as my wife was on life support in CCU ward of the hospital from the beginning of september till mid september then in a nusring home until last week. Maybe I am just noticing the birds again.

Birding is a great outlet when under stress.  Hope the hobby brings you some solace.

Kiwi...I know from where you speak. Sickness and death takes a huge toll on us and shakes our lives to the very foundation. Huge changes in life take place which we struggle to get a grip on. We suffer, but we regroup and soldier on. I am dealing with this now. It's tough, but I will make it through.

The thing I love about birding is that I can find the most common bird to be beautiful. Everytime I see a male Northern Cardinal singing is a pleasure, and it's amazing that such a vibrant bird could evolve to be a permanent resident of such a temperate habitat as the ones they inhabit. Imagine if the Northern Cardinal had gone extinct in place of the Carolina Parakeet - I know we'd mourn it just as much.
