    Help with this Cambria, CA, bird of prey

    Total amature bird lover...this guy was in Cambria, California the last week of October. Can you tell me what he is?

    Looks like a Red-shouldered Hawk to me!

    Total birds seen: 205
    Latest lifers:
    Brown Creeper, Field Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow
    Favorite lifers:
    Black-billed Cuckoo, Reddish Egret, Wood Stork

    Agreed.  I think these might be the most beautiful of the hawks.
