    Curved-Billed Thrasher

Saw 2 of these in my back yard today. I have seen them before, but, every time I open the door to take a picture, they take off. Today, I went out through the garage and snuck around to the back and was able to get pretty close to them. They went about eating and jumping around from the shade to the sun for about 15 minutes while I took the pictures.

Taken with Nikon D200, Nikon 70-300mm VR lens.

Good "sneaking" there, Raptrlvr - those are beautiful shots!  Funny the methods we use and things we go through to get pictures of birds!
