    Very tough birds to photograph I find (but not as tough as Common Mergansers and Goldeneyes).

    Hooded Merganser drake. Today, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

     


    Sony DSLR A200 camera. Sigma 400mm APO prime lens, Sony 55-200mm lens, Sony 18-70mm lens, Kenko 1.5X teleconverter.

    Nice shots. I haven't encountered any that were thrilled about posing either.

    They are the funniest-looking ducks!  I haven't encountered any yet but they look like little aliens!
