    Unknown bird (audio)

Hi everyone. I just joined WhatBird a few minutes ago in the hopes that someone would identify this bird that I've been hearing all summer. It stays in the trees out of sight and sings morning and late afternoon. I hope I'm not abusing the website by trying to put a wave file where a picture belongs, so just in case, here is the URL again www.tagnet.org/macedonia/eb/unknown_bird.wav I am a few miles west of Philadelphia. The audio is about 30 seconds and has the call 5 times. If you know this bird at all, you'll probably recognize it in the first couple of seconds. Thanks for the help.   Unknown PA bird audio

It's a Carolina Wren.  The typical nemonic device that you will see is "Tea-kettle-tea-kettle-tea"  But thier songs are variable thoughout different regions of the US.  But that vocalization is for sure the song of a Carolina Wren

Thank you both for your replies. Now I recognize the carolina wren from his visits to our feeder. They seem to do their loud singing only when hidden in the trees, but I should have realized that this fat little "sparrow" with the big white eyebrow wasn't a sparrow at all.
