    Which Sparrow is this?

    Hi,

    I'm a bird-watcher from India visiting the Portland OR area on work. I saw these birds in the nearby Ridgefield NWR. I thought they were the Golden-Crowned Sparrow but I'm very uncertain since they are supposed to be uncommon in this Refuge. Can someone help me ID these please.

    Sure are Golden-crowned Sparrows.

    Yep, I'd say Golden-crowned Sparrows, too. I get a couple of them now and then here in Sacramento, during the winter. 

    We did not inherit Mother Earth from our ancestors...... we have borrowed Her from our descendants.

    Yes indeed, they are Golden-crowned Sparrows.
