    They are nesting

Oh we are so happy a Carolina Chickadee couple has decided to use the small bird house we put up last year. The Phoebe has visted the nesting site from last year and looks like we are going to get to watch two fledges this year. The activity here has been great so far, we now have Tufted Titmouse, male and female yellow bellied sapsuckers, downy woodpecker, carolina chickadees, carolina wrens, cardinals, blue jays, phoebe, and morning doves. We see a roadrunner occasionally but he doesn't come really close to the house. We are in central Arkansas. I am putting up my hummingbird feeders later today and I hope the ruby throats come soon.

Howdy, from that other Arkansas birder! I put my hummingbird feeder up this weekend too and hope to see a hummer soon.  So far no martins and no takers in bluebirds houses but hopefully they will choose before long.

Oh, and i didn't know ya'll had roadrunners in Central Arkansas

It posted my link before I got a chance to write anything.

We live in a very rural area and I wasn't sure till I looked it up but yes they are here and we see them running across our country road or out in cow pastures running. Can't seem to have the camera on hand for a spotting yet but will work on it.
