I saw this bird today during an early evening walk.  Location is San Francisco Bay Area, California.  Thanks in advance!

 

 

 

 

I am no expert but I think it is a Nuttall's Woodpecker. The location and the facial pattern seem to fit. I see Nuttall's  4 or 5 times a week in Chico.Great photos by the way!!!!!!

 I think it might be a Hairy Woodpecker?

I am not sure but could it be a Nuttall's????

The bill looks a bit smaller than a hairy and I would go with a nuttall
