Thats a Horned Grebe im pretty sure its a male

Horned Grebe but sexes are similar so not sure how you can say male or not.

In Oklahoma its more likely an Eared Grebe.

Sure is an Eared Grebe. Just so you know, this bird is NOT a duck.

Didn't mean to offend ~ am fairly new to birding and much I do not know.. up until recently have pretty much just taken pictures of the ones I see around here ~ primarily an amateur photographer with birds being one of my fav. subjects and until recently have not come across ones that I didn't know or could not find in the Oklahoma Bird Guide.

Thanks I've lots of pics and have thought about posting in a gallery ~ ~Fav. Birding spots ~ There's the Wichita Mtns. Wildlife Refuge, Ft. Sill Military Reservation, Hackabee Flat Wetland Preserve which are fairly close but one of my fav. spots is out behind a baseball field near a creek that I visit during my lunch hour!
