    Bird id by song...

I live in northern Florida and am always hearing a bird that sounds like it is saying "Elizabeth" but have yet to see it. Does anyone know what it might be. Thanks!

Is  the sound a clear flute-like call? Could be a Baltimore Oriole.

Still searching for my lost youth...I caught a glimpse of it yesterday, but lost it in the woods.

I dont' know what you mean by fluted but it's not an oriole. It just sounds like it is saying the name "Elizabeth". It is a 4 part song just like the name sounds. E-liz-a-beth.

I use the "fluted" to describe a clear whistle as opposed to buzzy like Blue-Winged Warbler or warbling like a Wren. If you've heard the Orioles sing you'll know what I mean.

As for your bird, I'm at a loss...I hope somebody else on the list can help you, Good Luck
