    Bird bath cleaners...

I have a bird bath which is getting pretty yucky, since its under trees. So whats good out there to clean it with - any home remedies that wont hurt the birds?

As long as you rinse the bath really well, a weak bleach solution shouldn't hurt the birds.  Use good scrubber sponge/brush and a high-powered hose and that should do the trick.

Mine's under a tree too and get green pretty quickly so I have to keep an eye on it.  Moving water is not as bad though.

I just use a stiff brush and a hose. Has to be better than those mud puddles after a rain, or even our pond water.
