Hi All,

I have just joined and want to say hello to you all. I live in Manhattan, and Central Park is my main birding territory. I am not a beginner, but have lots of things to learn, and will be happy for any help you can provide from time to time.I like to take snapshots of the birds, not for artistic value, but because I get great pleasure from recalling the birds I've seen. Sometime I ned the photos to help me ID the bird. I'll probably be posting one of those birds quite soon, as one I saw this weekend has me stumped.

Welcome. This site is great and almost as addicting as bird watching. It will be great to see what birds you've come across in Central Park.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome.  Dozens of birds in Central Park on one day in migration season. I have them listed on this blog http://happybirdday.blogspot.com/

I guess I'll continue to post photos there as I've had no luck creating a gallery here. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Anyway, thanks again for the welcome and I look forward to running into you again.
