    Hi, Puzzled from Southeast Florida?

Just moved from Detroit, Michigan to Southeast Florida.  Because of the multitude of wildlife here compared to Detroit, I became a backyard bird watcher.  I have a lot of backyard babies (my birds) and am going on 6 bird feeders.  I use this site all the time to identify some of my winged visitors, green parakeets, brown thrushes, sparrows, cardinals, egrets, flycatchers, etc.  One thing puzzling me is the relationship between a grasshopper sparrow and a fish crow.  Wherever the fish crow is, this crazy sparrows follows it.  Can anyone explain this odd behavior?

Well, I don't know for sure but the sparrow is probably trying to get scraps.

Also the sparrow is probably not a Grasshopper Sparrow as they are only found in specialized grassland habitat even in migration.

I guess that must be it.  What else could it be because it sounds exactly like a grasshopper sparrow and looks like one?

I am not sure - House Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows, and Song Sparrows are all common. Maybe it is a Grasshopper Sparrow but that would be unusual.
