    Hmm [^o)] Stumped

    On a sandy dune at the beach, Cape May NJ two weeks ago.

    I feel like I should know this, but can't get a handle on this one.

    I was thinking Brown-headed Cowbird until I saw the second photo. I have never seen that brown on the back of the neck. I still think it is a Brown-headed Cowbird.

    The photo shown is Barnie. My faithful and loving companion of 18 years, who passed into the next life on 11-8-2008. God rest her soul! She's missed!

    Hi Everyone!!!!

       This is my first time posting, but I have been on this site for a while. I am sooo sooo thrilled to see quite a few posts this past week from my area of Southern NJ. Especially this time of year with migration!!!!! Happy birding to you all!!!

    Welcome to the forum! I was just up there in Jersey this past summer, and while there, visited Cape May and the wonderful birding sites. I envy you, being up there this time of year and the soon to see hawk migration.
