I'm doing a test post here,

 I made a thread Monday, trying to identify some birds, it said it was pending approval from a mod,

then my thread never showed up. But I have seen other threads show up since then.

 Just seeing if that was a glitch or if I'v been banned and don't know it.

Looks like it's back to normal, just ignore this thread or someone can delete it.

 

I'll go post my indentifcation request again.

Well, it did it again, said it was going to the moderator, when I tried to post in the "Help me identify" section. Maybe this one will make it through. Or maybe both will show up.

 Or neither.

 

I'll check back later.

Does anyone here know who the mod is, so I can email or private message them, find out why my thread is in limbo and won't post?

Seems to me that Mitchell Waite is the only contact person...   I've noticed that too many links or photos will cause the post to hang up; is that what you're trying to do?

Yeah, I had 7 or 8 pictures with links, so maybe that caused it.

I was getting all paranoid, thought I'd gotten banned or something.

 I'll try posting a new thread for each bird, and see if that helps. Thanks!

if you link 3 or less images you will be fine try to post more than 3 you will get that message

Cool, I was able to go ahead and post them seperate. I'll keep that in mind, not to post more than 3.

 

I just hope the other two don't get "approved" someday and posted. Probably not.

I'm having the same problem and posted "Moderator approved?" Some have suggested using just one weblink within the post and limiting photos to under 620 KB. Seems to work tonight okay since I simplified things.
