It would be helpful to have the ability to sort the Galleries by username in alphabetically order.  Too difficult to find older Galleries.

I agree 1000%, Jim!! Many times someone on the forum has said they had a picture of a particular bird in their Gallery, and even gave their Gallery name, but without posting a link to it. Unless it is a recent post to a Gallery, it may be almost impossible to find unless you have the better part of a day to go through the Galleries one by one.

I afraid that I don't follow you on that advice.  I may just be dense on this subject.  I didn't want to add a message to my Postings or Page. 

What I was wanting is to have some way to sort through the cazillion Galleries to find one when it is referred to by someone in their Posting.  It would at least help if we could sort the Galleries in the alphabetical order of their Username.

I think what birdseye is saying is that anyone could put a link to their Gallery in their "signature" spot, Jim. That way when they referred to their own Gallery, we could click on the link for theirs. Not a bad idea... some have their photos in WhatBird gallery, some in Flickr, some in Photobucket. It would be a good way to access anyones photos that had a link posted for it.

You can click on the user's name then again on the user's gallery link either on the profile or to the right. Faster than scrolling all those pages.

luv2bird.. if i click on your name,( in the post right above me,for instance)  i go to your profile page, but under "my blog", and "my gallery" to the right side of that page, it shows  MY blog, and My gallery.. not yours... am i missing what youre saying? thanks

i tried this trick on several members who posted in the forums.  birdseye is correct in saying that the gallery link on the right is one's own gallery link. but luv2bird also said that the gallery link is in the profile. sometimes there is a link beside the "Gallery" label. sometimes there isn't. i suspect that the member has no gallery when no link is shown.

birdseye, your profile shows a link to your gallery. i hope you will forgive me showing this screenshot. it is public information, after all.

luv2bird, thank you so much for showing us how to use this existing but relatively unknown WhatBird functionality.

[birdseye] I apologize. I was really trying to be helpful, after all I am new too. I see where other's have tried to help too. I understand as users have increased their visibility so have their viewable "Options."

When I click on your name or your avatar "birdseye" the browser navigates to your profile tab. If you have options set for other users to view your profile (and you do) then I can look above where MY blog and MY gallery name are listed on the right side and see links under the heading "Options"

"Options" are listed for sending the user a private message, viewing posts, subscribing to blogs, etc. Alternately, I can scroll down on your profile tab and click on your gallery link placed below your other user information.  

 I hope we (and me for goodness sakes) have helped you.
