Why can't I see one of these? This is just like the Pine Siskin. The guides say they're here but I can't ever see one. Why not? I want to see one of these goofy bastards and their large bills. Maybe hunt em too and get it stuffed to sit on a shelf. JUST KIDDING!! But I wanna see one to laugh at its big face.

I've seen several here in Florida recently. I'd expect it will be a few months before you see them up there.

We have them EVERY YEAR in the lakes in town. The first time I saw them I did a double take! Every January, you can count on the flock arriving...just the neatest birds.You wonder if they get a complex from everyone snickering at them. I swear that the males look like Jimmy Durante ~ LOL Stick out tongue
