    Unknown IL bird

Spotted last fall (Sept - Oct) in central Illinois. About 6 inches long. Hanging out in a small brushy, weedy patch under a mulberry tree in my neighbors back yard. Had feeders up, but never saw it visit them. May have drank at the bird bath. Very fidgety and active. Did not notice constant tail pumping.

I tentatively have called it Mourning Warbler, but it does not look like the book illustrations. Am guessing it may be a female, juvenile, or male in fall plumage. How'd I do?

You are correct about this being a female, but I'd put my money on a common yellowthroat.
