    Yellow-crowned Night-Heron

    I have discovered a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in the neighbor's tree.

I have done some research on the bird and found that it is endangered in New Jersey, but the problem is the Heron is in Stratford, Connecticut.

Should I inform someone of this interesting discovery?

I also found that the bird is in Least Concerned status.

You could let some local birding group know or ask them if it is of local interest.  There are plenty down here.
