Just retired and thought I would travel down to Mobile and Gulf Shores, Alabama to see the Delta and its wildlife. Wow! The birds were amazing, and I am hooked. Friends told me February was a terrible time to visit Mobile - but I think I saw a Great Blue Heron so I think my timing was pretty good! Very quiet and uncrowded and the birdlife was abundant!
