This may be a immature house finch.There is just a touch of color on the breast. There were at least 2 active house finch nests in the area in the last few weeks. Maybe some of them survived the blue jays.

I believe that these are eastern phoebe chicks. The nest is located at the very top of a gazebo that is over a fresh water marsh. The nest is cemented vertically to a frame member of the gazebo. If I am wrong about the ID, please let me know. Photographed 6/17/08 near Jonesboro, GA.

There are three anhinga nests very close together with at least eight anhinga chicks around, probably more. The parents seem to know which chicks are theirs. But all of the chicks try to get fed from any adult. Photographed near Orlando, Florida.
