A record of my birding road trips since August 2005. So far I've managed to photograph about 330 species in the wild.
In this learn-as-you-go adventure, the Whatbird Field Guide and the support of the Whatbird ID forum have been invaluable.
These are photos of wild birds (with a very few exceptions that are clearly marked "captive" in the title).
Earlier shots were taken with Canon S2IS or Panasonic FZ30. I'm now using a Nikon D80 with 300mm f4 lens, often with a 2x teleconverter.
