What is the best way to tell them apart?

Thanks, you two! I suspected it might be a Lincoln's but wasn't sure about the defining marks - good notes to add to my list.

Spring is here and the sparrows are moving through. Here's one I can't figure out. And identifying features pointed out will be appreciated. This was taken shortly after dawn & a drizzly day. I'm not really sure what the colors actually are. Thanks.

The tail on this one seems longer than that of a Common Grackle. Is it a Great-tailed Grackle? Thanks!

Hi kamajo11 – sorry it has taken me so long go get back to you with this answer. The information was on my other computer and took a while to get to it. These are the instructions Chris Bourg generously provided when I asked the question. (Thanks again, Chris!)

Yes, I KNOW I have several albums in my gallery. I asked the question over a year ago, then figured out how to create them (with the guidance of Chris Bourg).

Thanks everyone for all the giggles, grins & belly-laughs!
