Lyceel- what program do you look at your photos onscreen with? i use acdsee , and picasa... they load to fit the screen, (which says it is 43%)
then you can zoom to percentage of original. at 100% of the origianal photo my images don't look good. they seem to look best at 50%.. all this is before cropping anything. at 100% do ...

i dont print to paper either... i usually put my photos onto picasa, and run the slide show, and go about my business ... looking at the slideshow as i work...i find that i can not view it at over 75% without a large loss of quality, and never at 100%...is that normal?

hey Whetty... picasa is FREE.. and easy... Photoshop is expensive, and the learning curve is horrendous... with only 2 buttons click, i edited your photo.. hope you don't mind, but i am trying to point you to an easy, effective way to do do your editing...

if you have Picasa, you an easily improve your all shots..1 or 2
steps...it is free online..

How much do you folks crop your photos, before showing them here? Do you find that you can use use a consistant %, and after that it is not good? I noticed if i enlarge the main image enuf to get the to get it big enough , it loses it's definition and clarity. For instance, i can't enlarge it 100%, for the lose of quality. (other than me ...
