I'm not sure if a hybrid is possible.I'm pretty sure now that it is a black vulture with mutated colors.

It stood out among the black vultures so much that it was the first thing I saw when I was in the area. I did't see it in flight.

Could be a turkey vulture. But the turkey vulture head is completely bare to the neck. Only the face of this bird is bare. The turkey vulture face is not warty.

This vulture was photographed 12/12/08 near Orlando Florida. It is the size of a black vulture. I thought at first it was a black vulture but the head and beak are different.
