I didn't actually see this bird. It's a picture from another forum I frequent.
I'm leaning towards wood thrush or a pigeon. It's tough to tell because it's overexposed which washes out a lot of important things like the shape of the beak. It also looks a little like a female cardinal a little.

I tend to agree. I'm a member of anothe forum and I have a lot of friends on there just from sharing stories. These are people I'll probably never meet.
I still think this forum needs a few moderators too.

We had one like that a few years ago. He would strafe anyone, or anything that came near his honeysuckle vine. He hit the frame of my wife's glasses one day.

Juvenile cowbird would be my vote. I think the sun is just hitting it at a weird angle to bring out all that highlight color.

I wouldn't put it past them to do that. Easiest way to ID a red eye vireo is their incessant song. Sounds sort of like a robin, just repeated over and over.
