Looks like a Siskin to me. Which, if I'm not mistaken, are residents somewhere down in that area??

Cooper's hawk.
One field mark I look for (and have mentioned before) is the location of the birds eyes on it's head. Sharp-shinned's eyes are very close to the front of the face, and Cooper's are farther back.
Also, the amount of white on the lower belly is more extensive than in Sharpies... which is shown in this ...

SPYBIRD:
Taken in Wichita, Ks. yesterday. Sorry for the bad picture, I have only seen the black/white type of junco. I read through the thread that Photgog started ''Junco red-backed'' and I looks to me like what Matt called a Oregon Junco. What do you all think?
as far as lfe list goes, do you count all juncos as one life ...

I agree with Snowy on this one. Glaucous would show more 'glaucous' field marks.
The lack of any color orbital ring, the light bill with no obvious color gape, and the pink legs (other gulls show pink legs to, though) makes me think albino.
But..... and albino what gull. Herring?

There are always lingering songbirds. Peterson's Warblers gives great info on wood warblers migratoin timings, as well as reported late dates.
Last winter we had a Yellow-throated warbler stay well into the snow (CT). I had a BTB from 10/5-10/25.
Birds do interesting things. I doubt it is overwintering, ...
