The head didn't look right for red-winged blackbird, no lines or stripes, and the beak looks to long. Don't get me wrong, I am sure you are right. Do you think it is young female?

My friend saw a new bird today and asked if I could help her ID it. She said it was the size and shape of a gold finch. All black with maybe a blueish sheen like a mini grackle. It was near the feeder with gold finches. any ideas?

I put out orange slices, sugar water and grape jelly this year and got my first oriole. he went for the grape jelly. He is on it everyday now. Thanks to Snowyowl, I learned it was a Baltimore X Bullock's hybrid. I am not sure the best way to present the jelly to them, I did it in a hanging candle holder. anybody know a ...
