I personally haven't noticed any help from moderators since I've been a member. That doesn't mean the forums aren't working (they are). I've even seen some problems come up and then apparently get fixed behind the scenes. I haven't seen anyone in charge post to answer queries about problems, or anything like that, ...

I'm with you. I have Cardinals year round here, but I only have a few passable photos, and no really good ones. Same for Blue Jays. I don't know why, but that's the way it is.

birdseye:Lyceel- what program do you look at your photos onscreen with? i use acdsee , and picasa... they load to fit the screen, (which says it is 43%)
then you can zoom to percentage of original. at 100% of the origianal photo my images don't look good. they seem to look best at 50%.. all this is before cropping anything. at ...

I think it's just their reaction to any raptor (they probably don't care about their normal diet). I sometimes feel bad for raptors that get mobbed, especially when they're minding their own business like your Osprey.
On the other hand, it's funny to watch the Blue Jays around here going nuts over a Red-Shouldered, and the Red-Shouldered ...

It's funny how different the populations are in different places. I just had one chance encounter with a flock of CW's in Florida after three months of birding, but when I went up to the North Carolina mountains in the summer, they were a dime a dozen.
