could be mississippi kites. silver coloration, dark wings, ''boomerang'', gliding. that sounds like a kite to me

something about the belly coloring from light to dark on the wings is suggesting Mis. Kite or possibly White-Tailed Kite. it is really important to know about this birds flight behavior otherwise this picture doesnt present enough evidence either way. if it could be a merlin then the chances are equal that it culd be an American ...
