Hi Jeralee --
Sorry my suggestions didn't work.I am ''just'' a (very, very happy satisfied) user -- I have no connection to Mitch Waite or any of the programmers and I am most certainly not a guru or expert or anything like that.
All I can say is that it worked for me, have gone thru a number of upgrades on both iBird PRO and iBird Plus and have ...

The note feature should not be hard to find.
Select any species.
Look at the mini-menu at the bottom. Notes is NOT THERE.
Swipe your finger across the mini-menu.
This reveals additional options.
See the star? That lets you move that species to a special ''favorites'' list.
See the square with the pencil/pen? The square represents a pad, the ...

Oh, just want to clarify that my earlier comments about adding lists (both for each field trip and life lists) to the ''wish list'' are in no way intended to minimize how wonderful and amazing the new notes feature is. But of course, like most humans, now that we have so many new improvements and additional features, the focus shifts to ...

Yes, I am also very interested in listing.
Currently, I take pre-printed checklists of the most common birds in my area, that I carry with me in the field and check off which birds I see, then enter them into a computer database when I get back home. It would be nice to just check them off on the iPhone and then e-mail the day's list to ...

I upgraded this morning!
Before you sync your iPhone/iPod, click on the word ''applications'' in the iTunes window (down the left side of the screen, near the top). Then it will show all your applications. There is a place to click to check for upgrades in the bottom right corner of the screen. Click on that, and it will display all ...

I'm sure that when Apple finally OK's the upgrades, there will be much more feedback.
Any feedback on when that is going to go through?
Are developers able to follow up on that?

Mitch --
I delayed the upgrade because some of the previous Apple upgrades (not related to iBird) did not go as well. I followed the problems being reported on the Apple discussion forums, and most problems with my kind of phone (iPhone original/Edge) were those using Mobile Me, networks with firewalls, or such. I use a Mac, with all ...

Since users are most likely to call in when they have problems, thought I'd check in with positive report ...
I have the original iPhone (Edge) -- upgraded to 3.0 last Thursday and everything has worked great! Very happy with all the new features and iBird PRO is as reliable and valuable as ever!

Thank you, Mitch, and I am planning to upgrade to 3Gs in September.
For now, though, I have the ORIGINAL iPhone. My question really is about any problems on upgrading the ORIGINAL iPhone, in general and, in particular, my favorite app, iBird PRO.
What are the pros and cons of upgrading the ORIGINAL iPhone now, as opposed to just waiting until I ...

I have the original iPhone (running version 2.2.1 of the iPhone software/firmware) and iTunes 8.2 on Mac. I have 1.9 GB available on the original 8 GB iPhone. I plan to upgrade to the iPhone 3Gs when my 2-year contract expires in September.
When I go online, I see some original iPhone users who are very happy with the upgrade, and others who ...
