Patience is key for me. I will just have to wait until they come home to roost. I am hoping the bay area is healthier this year than last year. They struggled last year with a hurricane damaged bay. It is exciting to stumble on one when not expecting it.

Its good to know they do that. I just never see more than a couple of Turkey Vultures at the same time.

I'll bite. I like blue. I like the Blue Jay's colors. I don't wear much jewelry but that black necklace is pretty cool. The Loggerhead Shrike has a cool mask too if a costume party is in order.

raptrlv said. The birds can actual see the thermal even though humans can't. They will fly from great distances to get into that thermal.
So does this mean they can see IR images? Or do they see the particulates in the air? That is a cool piece of imformation.
It should be noted that Turkey Vultures and Black Vultures hunt a bit ...
