As you can tell by the pose, if I had of been a second or two later and I would have missed the shot all together.

After playing hide and seek for a few minutes, I was fortunate enough to be able to restart the car and drive past the tree to get an unobstructed shot from a different angle.

Curlybird:Wow - nice shot, lonestranger! I sure can tell the flight pics that were taken with a DSLR vs. P&S (with a few exceptions - if we P&S users get lucky at just the right time...)
Thanks Curlybird. Getting lucky at just the right time applies as much to DSLR users as it does to P&S users. Shooting in burst mode ...

I think that cropping has to be done individually on each picture and it would be hard to say that any one particular percentage is used more than another. The more a subject fills the frame, the less cropping required. The better the quality of the picture, the more cropping you can get away with. Cropping an image at 100% requires a really good ...
