I was able to get a picture of this Friday on our wire.  One of my sons thinks an Eastern Kingbird, but it doesn't look quite the same as the site shows. Very close, but the feet look white, not dark gray. The head looks different.  Thanks for your help.    

There are plenty of times I type out a huge rant in a forum, but then decide against it.  I was able to get whatever out of my system, even if no one else was able to address it.  :)

Well, I am just tickled. I had not even heard of such a bird before.  :D   And yes, birdseye, it has been awhile.  We were out of town and boy! Why is it work to take a vacation?  It is our first long one as a family of 6.   We had fun.  I had my eyes open, but didn't spy any birds that I have not seen ...

It has been some time since I posted a bird here.   I found this fellow when I went outside to take some pictures of clouds.  He (or she) let me get fairly close and hopped from spot to spot while letting out its song.   All I could figure is possibly a young western meadowlark.  ???  I just am not sure because ...
