Picture taken on 09 May 09 after huge rains in Houston - sorry the picture isn't sharper but it was quite a distance away! This area is normally not covered in water but this time it flooded across a large area to the west of Hwy 6, on Westheimer Rd, for those familiar with the area.

Many thanks - this had been annoying me for hours ! Birds were seen on Sunday, 5th July 2009, i.e. two days ago.
Attached is one of the wood storks seen too - there was a flight of about 7 which came in from north and alighted in the woods on the east side of the reservoir area near the Briar Forest/Hwy 6 car ...

Three of these large birds flew over Addicks reservoir in west Houston - unfortunately they were about a mile away and I didn't get a clear photograph of them, just the low quality attached one.
