This picture was taken about a month ago in southeast michigan.    

I hate to go against the grain here, but I think this is a Sharp Shinned Juvenile. Reasons - Breast streaks are very dark. The leg closest in the picture is deceiving I believe. Look at the left leg, it appears thin. Coopers legs would be a bit thicker.

This picture was taken earlier today. Thoughts as to what it is?

natureboy:per. falcon.  great find   Thanks, that's what I suspected.  We only have 10 nesting pair in michigan (I believe). One is located in our town, but it is a great distance from where we found this one.

I'm pretty sure I know what this is, but I don't want to influence anyone by posting. What do you think this is?

They are supposed to be in my area but I have yet to find one. Any ideas that could help me locate one to photograph?
